Walk around 42,500 sq m in eight areas to check out 1,100 collections showcasing season Autumn/Winter 2024/25 in terms of new colour and material trends, innovations and inspirations at the ongoing Munich Fabric Start in the Bavarian city famous for its beer among many other things.
- Under this year's motto "each other", the fash frat can draw inspiration from the denim trade show ‘Bluezone’, the innovation hub ‘Keyhouse’ and the one-stop sourcing solution, ‘The Source’. Munich this week is all about a wide range of collections and innovations in the textile industry, personal exchange, and a sense of community for the fashion industry.
- Trade visitors from the fields of purchasing, design and management walk into well-booked halls, trend information for Autumn/Winter 2024/25, packed lecture programmes and a wide range of networking opportunities—for the first time at an early July date.
Denim 20: The Bluezone denim trade show celebrates its 20th anniversary this summer. The motto ‘ConneXXion’ is interpreted literally in the Zenithhalle where a total of around 100 collections from the denim, street and sportswear sectors transform it into a 360° degree denim experience park.
- In a space where everything revolves around networking, exchange and orientation, the well-known exhibitors include Calik, Denim Authority, Isko, Kurabo, Naveena Denim, NDL, Orta, Royo, Saitex and Sharabati.
WHAT THEY SAID:
We live in transformative times: on the one hand, the unspeakable war in the Ukraine, persistent inflation and the spectre of a technical recession are creating uncertainty; on the other hand, technological innovations and a change in social values allow us to look to the future with hope. The picture for the textile and fashion industry is similarly double-edged. Continuing economic and temporal pressure leads to insolvencies and restructuring. But there are also signs that the common search for efficiency along the entire supply chain is showing the first success and at the same time an improvement in the high cost situation can be observed. In summary: the market environment remains challenging, but the outlook is getting better again.

Relevance is the currency of our days. Bringing the right people together in the right place at the right time and presenting them the right topics, inspiration and information in a professional working atmosphere—that is what we do. Quality, reliability and continuity are worthwhile and, with the background that the willingness to innovate in sustainability in all its facets is becoming more and more important, political regulations are even increasing the significance of these issues, personal and trusting exchanges are becoming even more essential than they have always been. And last but not least: we are creating a place where people from all over the world meet—and everyone who wants to actively shape a positive future for our industry knows how important community, communication and joy are in order to develop the therefore necessary energy. That is exactly why it is also an essential part of our ambition to bring fun back into fashion!
