Over 100,000 visitors from more than 100 countries visited the recent five-day ITMA ASIA + CITME event in Shanghai, China.
- The exhibition, held at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre (NECC) in Shanghai, featured a showcase of the latest and best in textile machinery from the entire manufacturing value chain.
- The event, which concluded on 23 November, attracted the strong participation of textile professionals eager to explore the latest automation and sustainable technologies.
The visitors: The 8th edition saw local Chinese delegates from 31 provinces and cities forming the largest group of visitors, followed by India, Taiwan, South Korea, Bangladesh and Iran.
- Visitors from outside mainland China accounted for 13% of visitors. There was a significantly higher number of overseas delegations, including more than a dozen large buyer groups, compared with previous editions.
- More than 1,500 exhibitors from 23 countries and regions took part in the exhibition which was spread over 160,000 sq m of space. Many local and international brand names staged product launches that were well received by visitors.
- The next ITMA ASIA + CITME exhibition to be held from 14 to 18 October 2024 at the NECC Shanghai, will be organised by the Beijing Textile Machinery International Exhibition Co Ltd. and co-organised by ITMA Services.
- According to the show owners, the high-quality showcase by two established ITMA and CITME textile machinery exhibition brands contributed to the success. The extensive outreach programmes to more than 300 business associations and industrial clusters, media partnerships, roadshows and other promotional programmes also yielded positive results.
