IAF Opens Registrations for 37th World Fashion Convention

The major challenges the apparel industry is facing today can only realistically be met when there is true collaboration between buyers and their suppliers, and that is the focus that the International Apparel Federation (IAF) is working on for its 37th World Fashion Convention to be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh later this year, registrations for which have begun.

The 37th edition of the event, to be held in Dhaka this November, is being organised in association with the BGMEA (Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers & Exporters Association), one of the largest trade associations in the country representing the readymade garment industry, and the BKMEA (Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association), a national trade organisation of knitwear manufacturers in Bangladesh. The International Apparel Federation (IAF) has opened the registration process for its 37th World Fashion Convention to be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh later this year.

The convention: Registration for the events has opened on the joint, dedicated convention website. The convention will contain a full day conference and a network dinner, both held on Tuesday November 15 as well as an industry tour held on Wednesday November 16 and/or Thursday November 17.

The partners: The event is being organised in association with the BGMEA (Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers & Exporters Association) which was set up in 1983 and is one of the largest trade associations in the country representing the readymade garment industry and the BKMEA (Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association), a national trade organisation of knitwear manufacturers in Bangladesh.

The theme: The theme of the convention is 'Transforming Fashion Together'.

  • The theme carries the message of supply chain collaboration and together with the BGMEA and BKMEA, the IAF is sending the message that the major challenges of industry today can only realistically be met when there is true collaboration between buyers and their suppliers.
