Global Access to Circular Denim Widens as World Collective and Denim Deal Expand Sourcing Partnership

Access to post-consumer recycled cotton in denim has expanded through a deepened collaboration between two industry players. The partnership is broadening supplier onboarding, building a year-round sourcing channel, and connecting brands with materials verified against Denim Deal's technical and durability standards, in support of a goal to produce one billion PCR cotton jeans by 2030.

Long Story, Cut Short
  • World Collective and Denim Deal have expanded their partnership to scale global sourcing access for post-consumer recycled cotton denim materials.
  • Four recognised denim mills (Maritas, Çalik Denim, DNM and Bossa) are active in the ecosystem as front runners in the partnership's first phase.
  • The collaboration supports Denim Deal's goal of driving production of one billion jeans containing at least 20 per cent PCR cotton by 2030.
When industry commitment meets global infrastructure, circular materials stop being aspirational and start becoming a practical sourcing reality for brands of every size.

A live, year-round sourcing channel for post-consumer recycled cotton in denim has been established through a deepened collaboration, expanding global visibility and accessibility of circular denim materials for brands worldwide. Supplier onboarding has been broadened, and brands of varying sizes have been given expanded access to PCR cotton fabrics verified against established technical and durability standards.

  • Four denim mills (Maritas, Çalik Denim, DNM and Bossa) have been selected as front runners in the partnership's first phase, actively testing PCR cotton materials within a live, globally connected ecosystem.
  • All materials within the network meet the technical and durability standards set out in the Denim Deal Technical Guidelines, giving brands the confidence to source and adopt.
  • As more mills join the sourcing network, the global reach of circular denim grows, extending access across more brands, collections, and markets.
  • The development has been outlined in an announcement issued by World Collective, in collaboration with Denim Deal.

THE PARTNERSHIP: The sourcing infrastructure for circular denim has been expanded, with World Collective and Denim Deal broadening their collaboration to make suppliers and materials more visible and accessible to brands worldwide. Denim Deal, a global initiative scaling post-consumer recycled cotton across the value chain, is using the partnership to turn that shared push into a live, discoverable sourcing opportunity for brands worldwide, backed by verified technical standards.

  • Maritas, Çalik Denim, DNM and Bossa have entered the ecosystem as front runners, actively testing what it means to bring PCR cotton materials into a live, globally connected sourcing channel.
  • Their participation sets the tone for the partnership's broader ambition: as more mills come onboard, the channel grows and circular denim becomes accessible to more brands and markets worldwide.
  • The partnership has been structured to give the shared mission the global infrastructure it needs to scale, moving beyond industry commitment into operational sourcing access.
  • World Collective's role has been defined as translating Denim Deal's mission into an always-on global platform that widens the reach and adoption of circular denim materials across markets.

FOR SUPPLIERS AND BRANDS: The partnership's expansion carries distinct implications for both suppliers and brands operating within the global denim value chain. For suppliers, the collaboration has opened a clearer channel through which their work can reach international buyers operating across the global denim value chain. For brands, access to a growing network of more than 500 curated materials has been widened.

  • Suppliers active in the ecosystem have gained greater visibility for their work, with a clearer channel through which international buyers can find and engage with their materials directly.
  • Brands have been given expanded access to a growing network of verified materials and suppliers, making it easier for companies of different sizes to source denim with stronger circular foundations.
  • As the ecosystem grows and more suppliers join, the partnership is designed to extend the reach of circular denim into new markets and deepen its presence across global supply chains.
  • In support of Denim Deal's goal, World Collective is strengthening the infrastructure needed for broader adoption, lowering the barriers to sourcing Denim Deal-aligned materials for brands at every scale.
  • Denim Deal's stated target is to help drive the production of one billion jeans with at least 20 per cent post-consumer recycled cotton by 2030.
