ITMA ASIA + CITME 2026 Ready to Showcase Intelligent and Sustainable Manufacturing

Emerging technologies for textile-reinforced composites, textile recycling, digital platforms and automation solutions will feature at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2026, gathering the textile machinery industry in Shanghai this November. A dedicated Research and Innovation area will bring together leading Chinese universities to present embodied robots, intelligent inspection technologies and artificial intelligence development platforms.

ITMA ASIA + CITME 2026 will run from 20 to 24 November 2026 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. Organisers have positioned the event as Asia's leading business platform for textile machinery, with confirmed participants including Atexco, Barmag, Dornier and Karl Mayer. Exhibiting companies will present innovations in digitalisation, intelligent manufacturing and automation designed to enhance sustainability, improve energy and resource efficiency and enable smarter production.

  • Trade visitors can register through the official exhibition websites or via WeChat accounts operated by the China Textile Machinery Association and two other affiliated industry bodies.
  • Trade associations, industry organisations and corporate visitor groups comprising six or more participants may apply for preferential group admission packages offering a more efficient exhibition experience.
  • Increases in visitorship for the 2024 edition were also recorded from Algeria, Japan, Italy, Sri Lanka, Türkiye and the United Kingdom, alongside participants from other regions.
  • Further overseas promotional activities will be held in Bangladesh, Brazil, Egypt, Pakistan, South Africa and other countries and regions to extend international visitor participation.

WHO'S TAKING PART: More than 1,800 companies have applied to exhibit at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2026, almost 90% of them from China. Exhibits will be organised by production process, spanning the complete textile and garment manufacturing sector from fibre production through to finished output. Exhibits will encompass processes including braiding, embroidery and garment making, among others forming part of the wider production system.

  • Exhibitors will span additional production processes, including man-made fibres, nonwovens, printing, and testing and packaging, with Rieter among the companies set to participate.
  • B.T.D., Beijing Chonglee, BEST, CHTC, Cixing, Epson, Fong's, Hicorp, Hongyuan and Itema are among the domestic and international companies taking part.
  • Konica Minolta, LMW, Murata, Picanol, Rifa, Santoni, Saurer, Shima Seiki, Staubli and Taitan will also exhibit at the event this November.
  • Texpro, TMT, Truetzschler, Vandewiele, Yingyang and Yoantion complete the confirmed exhibitor list for the sector.

GETTING READY: Trade visitor pre-registration for ITMA ASIA + CITME 2026 opened on 25 May and will remain available until 19 November 2026, with early-bird admission tickets offering a 40% discount to those who register in advance. Between April and July 2026, the organiser also carried outreach activity across five countries, ahead of the exhibition's opening in November.

  • City-level outreach activities were held in Coimbatore, Ludhiana and Surat in India, and in Jakarta, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, Bursa and Istanbul across the other four countries.
  • These sessions preceded further outreach activity confirmed for other countries and regions worldwide, ahead of the exhibition's opening in November this year.
  • South American participation in the exhibition's 2024 edition was led specifically by Argentina, Brazil and Colombia, distinct from the broader increases recorded elsewhere in the same year.
