Dr Erez Yerushalmi is a Professor of Economics at Birmingham City University (BCU) Business School since 2017. His work focuses on economic topics in health, environment, labour and other social policy.
Prior to joining BCU, he worked as a Research Fellow in the Institute for Employment (IER) at the University of Warwick from 2012, as well as lecturing in Warwick Business School. He completed his PhD in Economics from the University of Warwick in 2013, specialising in Applied Policy Analysis using Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) modelling.
Erez has over 20 years of professional experience in economic research and consulting. He has extensive and practical experience in quantitative economic modelling, econometric forecasting, and is a specialist in applied computable general equilibrium (CGE) models.
Prior to his PhD, he worked for five years in the private sector as an economist in various international consulting firms. His work covered macroeconomic forecasting, cost-benefit analysis, infrastructure and transportation assessment, and energy modelling.
