The World Investment Report 2022 launched by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) indicates that foreign direct investment (FDI) recovered to pre-pandemic levels in 2021 reaching nearly $1.6 trillion but this course is unlikely to be sustained in 2022.
