Ria Devereux recently submitted and defended her PhD which focused on microplastics in rivers and estuaries case study:The Thames River at the University of East London. Previous to that, she did a masters in marine science and a project on microplastic abundance within Cnidaria and Ctenophores within the North Sea. Devereux has a strong interest in plastic pollution especially within marine and freshwater environments with research papers published within the area.
