Sara Cicognani

Sara Cicognani is Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Flocus BV which is pioneering sustainable and regenerative textile solutions based on kapok fibre, and is creating for it a responsible supply chain. Based in Italy with headquarters in The Netherlands, she is also the co-founder of the non-profit foundation KRAF which takes care of the agricultural aspect of Kapok. Armed with a UCLA degree, Sara started her research and sales plans for Flocus since the beginning of 2016. 

Sara was invited to speak at COP29 Azerbaijan during a side event on 13 November to discuss the critical intersection of the textile and forestry industries and their role in sustainability and climate action.
