London, U.K.: Cementing its position as a powerhouse in fibre traceability, FibreTrace has announced a new partnership with Thai Acrylic Fibre (TAF) that will see the integration of FibreTrace Technology into its acrylic fibre production.

As one of the world's top five acrylic fibre producers and part of the Aditya Birla Group, Thai Acrylic Fibre is a key player in sustainable fibre manufacturing and has integrated FibreTrace technology into its Regel recycled fibre, providing a ‘digital passport’ across the whole production process - from fibre to yarn, fabric to garment and beyond.

FibreTrace technology works by embedding a luminescent, transparent pigment ID at the raw fibre stage. This non-toxic, zero-impact identification marker enables the verification of physical products from garments to textiles or material products across the entire supply chain journey.

Similar to a hidden barcode embedded directly into the fibre itself, this invisible marker remains in the fibre through every stage of production - whether it’s being dyed, spun into yarn, or turned into a finished garment. At any point along the way, it can be scanned to verify exactly where it came from, ensuring complete transparency from the factory floor to retail store.

“At FibreTrace, it has always been our mission to provide full transparency in the textile supply chain to provide end-to-end traceability,” says FibreTrace Founder, Ms Danielle Statham.

“We are proud to partner with Thai Acrylic Fibre - one of the largest and most sustainably progressive acrylic producers in the world. They are the 5th largest producer and the 2nd largest exporter of acrylic fibre worldwide and have been instrumental in rigorously testing our technology, ensuring successful integration and pigment invisibility during the production of their Regel recycled fibre. It is a true testament to both companies' commitment to providing a more sustainable future for fashion, giving brands and consumers the confidence that every fibre is traceable and responsibly sourced," Ms Statham continued.

Tuhin Kulshreshtha, VP of Business Development at Thai Acrylic Fibre says, “Sustainability and transparency are at the core of our business, and partnering with FibreTrace allows us to take this commitment to the next level. By integrating the FibreTrace technology into our Regel recycled fibre, we are providing our customers with an unparalleled level of trust and accountability across the entire supply chain, which we believe is essential for the future of the textile industry."

This collaboration marks the beginning of an ongoing partnership, with plans to expand the integration of FibreTrace technology into future product lines.

Both companies are committed to continuing their work towards greater transparency and sustainability within the global textile supply chain.
