ZDHC Opens MMCF Module for Submissions, Urges Brands and Suppliers to Engage with Supply Chain

ZDHC Foundation’s Roadmap to Zero Programme has urged suppliers and brands working across the fashion landscape to assess chemical management practices, including chemical recovery, wastewater management and air emissions for the MMCF Module.

ZDHC Foundation’s Roadmap to Zero Programme has urged suppliers and brands working with MMCF or man-made cellulosic fibres to take action on the ZDHC MMCF Programme by assessing their chemical management practices, including chemical recovery, wastewater management and air emissions for the MMCF Module. 

  • The ZDHC MMCF Programme provides comprehensive roadmaps for different MMCF fibre types, supporting their alignment with the sustainability expectations of the industry and Canopy’s Hot Button Report.
  • The MMCF Module on the ZDHC Supplier Platform is now open for submissions (for viscose, modal, lyocell, cupro and acetate) and remains open until 31 May. 

ACTION POINTS FOR BRANDS AND SUPPLIERS: Brands and suppliers sourcing MMCF materials should establish policies aligned to the ZDHC MMCF Guidelines V2.2. They should engage with their supply chain to ensure the implementation of requirements set out in the guidelines.

  • The MMCF Module is aligned and included in Canopy’s Hot Button Report through the chemical management criteria.
