Moscow, Russia: BRICS+ Fashion Summit will take place in Moscow on November 28 through December 2, under the auspices of Moscow Fashion Week. The event will bring together fashion professionals, industry experts, bloggers, teachers, and emerging designers from different parts of the world. This was shared by Natalya Sergunina, Acting Deputy of the Moscow Mayor.

The Indian delegation, led by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) and spearheaded by Chairman Sunil Sethi, who also serves as the mentor of the show, is set to showcase Indian handloom encapsulating the essence of Indian culture. This presentation is expected to be a highlight of the summit, featuring collections by Indian designers Ritesh Kumar, Naushad Ali, Gaurav Khanijo, and Shruti Sancheti.

On the occasion Mr. Sunil Sethi, Chairman of the Fashion Design Council of India, shared his enthusiasm, stating, "FDCI is thrilled to engage in the forthcoming BRICS+ fashion summit in Moscow. Our steadfast dedication to advancing Indian handloom, in accordance with the Ministry of Textiles' guidance, is apparent in our endeavors to present the collection for both B2B meetings and a fashion show. This also signifies our third international showcase of the Khadi ensemble, aligning seamlessly with the policies of the KVIC."

The event boasts a global representation of brands, including Lucas Leao (Brazil), CHNNYU (China), David Tlale (South Africa), Alena Akhmadullina (Russia), SADAELS (Argentina), Arzu Kaprol (Turkey), NIV NIV by KAT.

‘The Summit will be participated by representatives of more than thirty countries, including regions like the Middle East, the South-Eastern Asia, the Latin America, Africa, and the CIS states. Such a large-scale event will additionally promote development of the Russian fashion market, as well as strengthen international cooperation,’ Natalya Sergunina said.

The Forum will include a business program for fashion professionals and enthusiasts, lectures by teachers and experts from Russia and abroad, fashion shows, and many more. Most of the events on the program will take place in the Moscow Concert Hall ‘Zaryadye’ and the Zaryadye Park.

The participants will talk about growth options as regards to international collaboration, business development, use of advanced technologies, and the fashion culture.

During the Summit, fashion designers and brands that create their clothes and accessories collections will have a chance to showcase those in the B2B showroom and present them to the audience of fashion professionals. Entries are accepted till October 5 at the official website of the event. The participant list will be finalized by the Advisory Board.

BRICS+ Fashion Summit will continue the Moscow Fashion Week initiative. The first Fashion Week took place in the Russian capital in June 2022 and saw 1.6+ million of visitors and participants.

The Moscow Fashion Week is arranged by the Cultural Foundation of Fashion and Design Development – the Fashion Fund powered by the Government of Moscow.
