My Handloom My Pride

For the 35th Surajkund International Crafts Mela, the FDCI is curating a fashion extravaganza, where 11 designers will showcase their craft-soaked creations, accentuating the charms of the ubiquitous sari.

Titled “My Handloom My Pride”, the event is being organised in association with DC (Handlooms) and Haryana Tourism. Slated for April 2, 2022, Saturday, Shri Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor, Jammu & Kashmir will be the Chief Guest. The Guest of Honour is Shri Upendra Prasad Singh, IAS, Secretary - Ministry of Textiles.

The 11 designers include: Abraham & Thakore, Akaaro, Asha Gautam, Jahnabi Phookan, Madhu Jain, Manish Tripathi, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Samant Chauhan, Shruti Sancheti, Suket Dhir and Taani by Tanira Sethi. The style gurus will present woven wonders from Assam, Benaras, Bihar, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
