SINGAPORE: HMS (HandMadeStone), the sustainable textile innovation company revolutionizing denim finishing, has been selected as one of just four startups, out of more than 95 applicants, to join The Amplifier, a high-impact mentorship program designed to super-charge the growth of mission-driven ventures across Asia.

Launched by the Philanthropy Asia Alliance (PAA) and the Centre for Impact Investing and Practices (CIIP), The Amplifier brings together philanthropists, investors, industry leaders, and global standard setters to tackle Asia’s most pressing sustainability challenges. Over the next 12 months, HMS will gain access to mentorship, commercial opportunities, business and legal advisory, digital tools, and physical resources such as co-working spaces and wet labs, support designed to help early-stage companies overcome the notorious “valley of death.”

“At HMS, our mission has always been to prove that denim can be beautiful without being destructive,” said Beyza Baykan, Founder. “Being part of The Amplifier validates the urgent need for sludge-free, water-saving solutions in fashion and gives us the platform to scale faster, with the guidance of global impact leaders.”

HMS is known for its patented composite stone technology, a circular alternative to pumice that eliminates toxic sludge, reduces water use, and delivers consistent, repeatable denim finishes. By replacing outdated and harmful practices, HMS empowers brands, laundries, and mills to achieve both environmental and commercial goals.

The Amplifier’s mission to bridge Asia into the global impact market aligns seamlessly with HMS’s own vision: to accelerate sustainable change in the fashion supply chain, particularly in Asia’s denim hubs where impact at scale can be transformative.

“Asia has both the highest need and the greatest potential for sustainable solutions,” said Beyza Baykan Founder. “With The Amplifier, we’re not just scaling HMS, we’re part of a collective movement to redefine the future of textiles and the planet.”
