NEW DELHI, INDIA: Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), in partnership with Moscow Fashion Week, proudly showcased Russian designer Fatima Shogenova, founder of the label Hatsibana, at the Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI. The presentation took place on 10 October at The Grand, New Delhi, marking another milestone in FDCI’s ongoing designer exchange programme with the Russian Fashion Council.
Building on the success of the March 2025 edition, which featured designer ZA_ZA, this season continued to celebrate cross-cultural collaboration and creative dialogue between the Indian and Russian fashion industries.
Hatsibana unveiled her latest collection titled “Amazon,” inspired by the painting of Ruslan Shameev. The collection beautifully fuses art and fashion, translating bold brushstrokes and rich symbolism into wearable pieces that embody female strength and elegance.
Intricately handcrafted jackets with graphic prints echo the abstract elements of the artwork, while a color palette of deep ochre, gold, burgundy, dark blue, brown, and green captures the spirit of the modern warrior woman. Blending classic silhouettes with eclectic influences, the collection celebrates the harmony of power and grace.
Commenting on the initiative, Sunil Sethi, Chairman, FDCI, said: “At FDCI, we see cultural exchange as a vital part of our mission to position Indian fashion within a global dialogue. Our partnership with the Russian Fashion Council celebrates creativity, diversity, and mutual respect between our industries. We are delighted to welcome Fatima Shogenova and her evocative showcase this season.”
