Karachi, Pakistan: AGI Denim is excited to announce its innovative fabric has been utilized as the canvas for artist Kiril Jeliazkov’s painting for Automobili Lamborghini’s 60-year anniversary celebration. Sustainable luxury company, Truen House Atelier, sponsored the canvas and tapped gallery@, AGI Denim's art-supporting arm, to produce the groundbreaking canvas and artwork label. The dynamic piece can be viewed in the exhibition “60 Years of Artistry in Motion” in New York City, presented by the Lamborghini Lounge. The opening night reception is a ticketed event and will be held at The Lounge New York (533 W 26th St, New York, NY 10001) on December 14, 2023, 7PM - 10PM. The exhibition opens free to the general public on December 15 - 16, 2023 (10AM - 3PM).
For this landmark celebration, gallery@ prepared for the artist an exclusive denim canvas made from Circulose, a material engineered in Sweden with recycled textile waste, such as discarded jeans and cotton production scraps. AGI Denim’s mill indigo-dyed and finished the special fabric with recycled water and a special technique was applied in their LEED Gold certified jeans factory to ensure it meets fine art standards. This innovative approach reflects the B Corp certified producer’s leadership in responsible manufacturing.
At the heart of this project is Kiril Jeliazkov’s painting “Beyond Sixty Energy.” The artwork captures Lamborghini's drive and passion for creating the boldest, most innovative, colorful and future-forward super sports cars. The artist’s dynamic brushstrokes pay homage to the color legacy of the Lamborghini brand with the use of a bold and vibrant color palette. Right from Lamborghini’s earliest days, founder Ferruccio Lamborghini didn’t want his cars to be known by one color or lock customers into a restricted amount of choice, which is why the brand’s first iconic model can be seen in such a wide range of colors. Truen House Atelier sponsored the canvas and artwork label for this project.
“Working with the sustainability-focused Truen House Atelier to create this canvas for Kiril’s painting created for Lamborghini has been a fun challenge taken up by our art-supporting arm, which we call gallery@,” says Henry Wong, AGI Denim’s VP of Marketing & Product Development and Director of gallery@. “Our parent organization, AGI Denim, is made up of so many eager, creative talents and we do not shy from any chance to show off our cutting-edge innovations. This was a great opportunity for us to take part in this project for Lamborghini, who has for six decades never stopped pushing the boundaries through artistry and technology. We hope we have done our part in inspiring creators of all disciplines.”
Kiril Jeliazkov is known for his large format abstract paintings full of dancing brushstrokes, purposeful use of space and an explosion of color, Kiril’s art style is full of energy and vitality. His achievements include having created the world’s largest series of paintings designed to be displayed outdoors: the “Orange Step” project.
